# v1.1.0 released

Preview playback, three-state track rows, sharing and deep links, unified artist page, improved playback, and bug fixes. These have been covered in previous release posts but will be summarized again here.

Version 1.1.0 of Kapell has just been released [on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kapell/id6779394524).

The release combined [b1455](https://kapell.fm/blog/beta-b1455), [b1532](https://kapell.fm/blog/beta-b1532), and [b1611](https://kapell.fm/blog/beta-b1611) if you’re interested in minute details.

## Sharing

Kapell now supports sharing from albums, tracks, and artists. There’s a web-based landing page (e.g. A Tribe Called Quest’s [*Midnight Marauders* (on Kapell)](https://kapell.fm/l/album/am/265670545)). For opening the links on non-Apple devices or by those who don’t own Kappel. For these philistines we’ve politely included an “Open in Apple Music” link.

For those with Kappel, opening the `kapell://` link now “deep links” into the application, down to even selecting the shared song.

## Track Cursor

To make that deep linking work, Kapell now has a cursor inside the track list that can be moved with the mouse or keyboard. Selected, hover, and playing are the states that now exist. Pressing enter plays.

## Improved Enrichment

Kapell’s [API now materializes](https://kapell.fm/blog/2026-07-22-graphql) into large, GraphQL-served API calls will be integrated into the client over time, but we’ve started with the album page and made the credited artists clickable.

Clicking an artist name such as [Large Professor (on Kapell)](https://kapell.fm/l/artist/am/274723762) yields a revamped Artist page that works even for artists Apple doesn’t have like recording engineers!

## Improved Playback

A bunch of other bugfixes landed here, but the most notable is hardening playback against eccentricities in Apple’s macOS [MusicKit](https://developer.apple.com/musickit/). Play crates that happen to have songs in your own Library are improved.
